The unsuccessful launch of an anti-tank missile from the Kornet ATGM was filmed

Video footage of an unsuccessful launch of an anti-tank missile from the Kornet ATGM has been published.

During the next launch, a serious technical problem occurred, which almost became a threat to the lives of military personnel. Immediately after the rocket took off from the launcher, the launcher tube itself was suddenly torn off, and the rocket was pulled towards the ground and it fell just a few tens of meters from the military personnel.

On the video frames, you can see how the ATGM operator carefully aims at his target, however, after the rocket left the guide tube, the latter almost immediately flew out behind the rocket. Despite the fall of the rocket, the Russian military was very lucky and the rocket did not explode, however, there was a serious risk for the military.

Apparently, the ATGM was fired not in combat conditions, since the serviceman is standing to his full height. Given the fighting on the territory of Ukraine, this would hardly be possible, although no details have yet been given on this subject.

The Kornet ATGM is a Russian anti-tank guided missile system designed to engage armored targets at ranges up to 5,5 km. It can hit targets with various types of armor, including dynamic armor, and has high hitting accuracy.
