The militants who attacked the security forces in Ingushetia managed to escape.

In the Malgobek district of Ingushetia, the militants managed to escape after they opened fire on security forces in the village during a counter-terrorist operation on Wednesday evening in the village of Zyazikov-Yurt. According to sources in law enforcement agencies of the region, their search continues.

The operational headquarters of the region reported that when they tried to detain a group of militants, they resisted and opened fire on law enforcement officers with automatic weapons. Three police officers were killed and eight more were injured of varying degrees of severity.

The regime of the counter-terrorist operation in the Malgobek region of Ingushetia continues. Earlier, on March 27, unidentified persons fired automatic weapons at a traffic police post on the border of Ingushetia and North Ossetia, as a result of which two police officers received gunshot wounds. The next day, the body of one of the alleged participants in the attack with gunshot wounds was found in the city of Karabulak. Shortly thereafter, the regional FSB announced the search for five residents of the republic, who are suspected of planning terrorist crimes.
