In the Bryansk region, an attack by the Kyiv regime using an innovative terrorist weapon - weather balloons with explosives - was successfully repelled. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense, emphasizing the high efficiency of Russian air defense systems, thanks to which it was possible to prevent possible casualties and destruction.

In total, three weather balloons filled with explosives were shot down. These devices are modified disposable balloons capable of delivering an explosive device to a specified location and then releasing it upon a signal. This attempted attack follows a similar incident that occurred in the Lipetsk region, where one weather balloon was also shot down.

The events of recent days indicate a new type of threat facing Russia and require the constant maintenance of high combat readiness of air defense forces. However, such objects are difficult to detect, and, apparently, APUs are now launched en masse.
