Lebanese intelligence prevented a terrorist attack on board a passenger liner.

The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Lebanon made a statement today that due to timely measures taken, it was possible to prevent a major terrorist act on board a passenger liner. The details are still unknown, however, local media report that the attack was being prepared by five radicals, and should have been organized in the coming weeks.

To date, there have also been reports that the explosives on board the aircraft were to be placed by one of the airport employees upon the arrival of the aircraft, and only by a fluke, the intelligence services managed to uncover this plot.
