Spanish Leopard 2 tanks have not yet arrived in Ukraine.

Margarita Robles, who heads the Spanish Ministry of Defense, said that the Spanish authorities intend to send six Leopard tanks and 20 armored personnel carriers to Kyiv by the end of April. Earlier it was already promised that they would be delivered to Ukraine.

Robles also said that more than a thousand Ukrainian servicemen are being trained at military bases in Spain. The Minister of Defense noted that some of the Ukrainian soldiers had already completed their training in Spanish territory.

Earlier it was reported that the Greek authorities refused to supply their modernized Leopard 2A6 battle tanks and S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems to Ukraine, which expressed interest in buying. Greek Minister of National Defense Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos stressed that Athens will not act to the detriment of its defense capability and send its weapons and equipment to Ukraine, but is ready to transfer what they can give.

To date, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have about 60 Leopard 2 and Challenger 2 tanks.
