On the morning of April 21, in one of the areas of the Tunkinsky district, the body of the head of the village of Tunka was discovered with a wound from a gunshot to the head. The main suspect is the husband of a 40-year-old woman. This was reported by the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Buryatia.

According to the investigation, the Siberian woman quarreled with her husband over domestic issues at night. The man, without hesitation, grabbed the gun and shot his wife. As a result of the incident, the woman died at the scene.
According to a survey of witnesses, the evening before the tragedy, the couple returned home after visiting, and then a long conflict began. According to preliminary reports, the woman then went to bed, and the husband later took a gun and shot her. After this, Leontyeva died at the scene of the crime.

After committing this act, the husband made an unsuccessful attempt to commit suicide. The suspect is currently in hospital. The reasons for the conflict remain unknown at this time.
