France secretly delivered fifth-generation Akeron MP anti-tank systems to Ukraine

France has tacitly put fifth-generation anti-tank systems into service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to preliminary data, we are talking about 20 anti-tank missile systems with a target engagement range of up to 5 kilometers. The French-made complexes are comparable in their capabilities to the American Javelin ATGMs, however, they have a much greater range.

According to official data, France has decided to secretly transfer 20 anti-tank missile systems and ammunition in the amount of 200 Akeron MP anti-tank missiles to the Ukrainian military. These fifth-generation systems are currently deployed in the Donetsk region, and only after the latter appeared on the video footage of the Ukrainian military, it became known that these weapons had indeed been transferred to the Ukrainian army.

Akeron MP anti-tank missile systems belong to the 5th generation ATGM and are considered one of the most modern. Moreover, apparently, Paris did not announce the transfer of these weapons to the Armed Forces of Ukraine in order to give Kiev some advantage, since the Ukrainian military did not have such long-range anti-tank systems in service before.
