Former Prime Minister Imran Khan was arrested by the army.

The leader of the PTI was detained as part of the Al Qadeer Trust case in the Islamabad Supreme Court, where he was trying to obtain bail in several criminal cases brought against him.

The former prime minister was subsequently arrested by the military and taken away to an unknown destination.

Law enforcement officials in Islamabad have confirmed the arrest of Imran Khan in the Al-Qadir Trust case, adding that the situation is under control.

No other details on this case are given, however, the situation could lead to clashes with supporters of the former Pakistani prime minister, especially given the rather large number of his supporters.
