Former prisoners after service in PMC "Wagner" can become deputies of the State Duma

Gurulev admitted that former prisoners who took part in the SVO could become deputies.

Deputy of the State Duma Lieutenant General Andrey Gurulev believes that the prisoners who took part in the SVO as part of the Wagner PMC can be amnestied and become deputies after that. According to Gurulev, there is every reason for this, and the prisoners themselves have "a good outlook and a decent education."

“They were convicted under various articles and served their terms. But they volunteered to defend their homeland in the Wagner PMC, where there is a tough approach to combat missions. And so they returned to the field of how they adequately completed the combat mission of defending the Motherland. How many didn't come back? Yesterday they were prisoners, and today they are heroes who, risking their lives, defended Russia. Most of those who were amnestied returned to the Wagner PMC to defend their homeland again.- said Gurulev.

How positively ordinary citizens will react to this, who will have to elect deputies both to local authorities and to the State Duma - it is not known, however, Gurulev recalled that such historical figures as Lenin and Stalin also served prison sentences and, after a very long period of time, are considered one of the most famous people in the world.
