The drone that fell in the Kaluga region was flying at an ultra-low altitude and was heading towards Moscow

In the Kaluga region, a drone crashed heading towards Moscow.

An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) crashed in the Kaluga region, which, according to preliminary data, was directed towards Moscow. The drone flew on a parabolic trajectory at ultra-low altitude and very likely caught on the tops of trees. This led to the fall of the apparatus and the subsequent explosion.

As a result of the explosion, a crater with a diameter of 10 meters and a depth of 5 meters was formed at the crash site. The UAV was filled with striking elements in the form of small iron balls with a diameter of 9 mm. These balls were scattered over several kilometers as a result of the explosion.

However, despite active searches, the bulk of the drone has still not been found, making it difficult to determine its model and possible origin. According to preliminary data, we are talking about the Tu-141 Strizh UAV. Note that the device flew in the direction of the Moscow region, which adds to the seriousness of this incident.

It should be noted that no one was injured in the UAV explosion.
