Hackers from around the world attack Sweden for burning the Koran

A real cyberterror was organized against the country as revenge for the burning of the Muslim holy scripture of the Koran.

Over the weekend, Sweden was the victim of a massive cyberattack by anonymous groups amid a scandal involving the burning of the Koran under the Turkish embassy in Stockholm.

According to SVT, hackers attacked a number of government websites and companies in Sweden. In particular, on Sunday, February 19, attackers tried to hack the websites of the energy company Vattenfall, the Kivra corporate mail service, and the official emergency alert application SOS Alarm.

According to the media, the hackers did not manage to cause significant damage as part of their cyber attack, but many users had problems accessing government sites. At the moment, experts are gradually restoring the work of resources.
