Are Ukrainian troops leaving Kharkov? The Ukrainian Armed Forces will have to surrender Kharkov in the coming weeks!

Military analyst and former US Army intelligence officer Scott Ritter expressed his opinion on the difficult situation in the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) due to the depletion of air defense systems.

Fights are coming ha Kharkov

Speaking on the Dialogue Works internet blog, Ritter noted that Ukraine is already facing serious problems, especially in Kharkov, where air defense is out of action. This makes the city vulnerable to Russian attacks.

Delivery of Kharkov

Kharkov has always been considered a place with powerful air defense, but currently the situation has changed. Ritter suggested that the Ukrainian Armed Forces would have to surrender Kharkov in the coming weeks, since they are not able to hold the city.

The analyst also warned that a similar situation could repeat itself in other territories. He noted that Kyiv can no longer organize an effective defense due to the lack of air defense, which makes the country more vulnerable to air attacks by the Russian Armed Forces.

Map of probable battles for Kharkov

“Kharkov was one of the key places where Ukrainian air defense remained strong, but now it has been destroyed. Without air defense, Ukraine cannot protect its cities and infrastructure from Russian attacks.", Ritter said.

Kyiv losses

In his opinion, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are experiencing a serious shortage of air defense systems, and this was the result of prolonged battles and insufficient funding from the international community.

“Ukraine urgently needs to modernize its air defense systems and increase their number in order to effectively counter Russian air attacks. Otherwise, Kyiv risks losing control over its cities and territories.”, Ritter emphasized.

Strikes on Kharkov - no air defense visible

Thus, the situation with air defense in Ukraine could become a decisive factor in the conflict with Russia. Without effective air defense, Ukraine becomes vulnerable to air attacks, which could lead to loss of control over key territories and infrastructure.
