Retaliation strikes in Ukraine: The Ukrainian Armed Forces sent cruise missiles, bombs and drones for the attack on Crimea

The Russian armed forces carried out a massive missile attack on Ukraine, as a result of which many of the enemy’s strategic targets were destroyed. According to Ukrainian sources, X-22 missiles were used to carry out the strike. An air raid alert was declared throughout almost the entire territory of Ukraine.

Local residents report numerous explosions in various regions of the country. In particular, a powerful explosion occurred in the Kharkov region, as a result of which the pipeline exploded and a huge column of flame rose to a height of about 70 meters, covering a radius of 40 meters. According to eyewitnesses, asphalt is melting at the scene.

According to military officers, one of the strikes was carried out on the Aviatorskoye airbase in the Dnepropetrovsk region. The cluster strike destroyed aircraft and S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems. As a result of the strike, two or three MiG-29 fighters, warehouses and the S-300 anti-aircraft missile system in Lyubimovka were destroyed. The strike was corrected by a reconnaissance UAV.

Military expert Yuri Podolyaka highly praised the accuracy of the strikes. According to him, in both cases the hits were almost perfect. He also expressed surprise that the planes were located relatively close to the front and in a city that is often subject to shelling, while they were parked next to a warehouse of old rubbish and in the open.

Strikes against the APU

The Internet reports that multiple explosions were heard in Dnepropetrovsk, Pavlograd, Odessa, Krivoy Rog, Poltava and Kharkov regions. In addition, as a result of a strike on the Dnepropetrovsk airfield, the Russian Armed Forces destroyed three MiG-29 fighter jets with cluster munitions. It is noteworthy that at the time of the strike, a Russian UAV was over the enemy airfield, conducting objective control.

This is not the first time that the Russian Armed Forces have launched massive attacks on Ukraine. Earlier it was reported about the destruction of military infrastructure, ammunition depots and equipment. The Russian army continues to demonstrate the high efficiency and accuracy of its weapons, striking strategically important enemy targets.

The Ukrainian authorities, in turn, declare their readiness to repel any attacks and continue to mobilize forces and means to defend the country. However, this does not have any significant effect - the real effectiveness of Ukrainian air defense systems is only about 30-40%, which indicates dozens of missed attacks by missiles and drones, while the effectiveness of using aircraft glide bombs reaches 99%.
