A large-scale operation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions was disrupted: Russian military prevented the landing mission of Kyiv

Positional battles continue in both tactical directions in the Zaporozhye region, reports the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW). No major changes have been recorded on the front line in recent days. Fighting is also taking place on the eastern bank of the Dnieper, in the Kherson region, where Russian troops are trying to prevent the penetration of sabotage groups of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. ISW records the most intense clashes near Rabotino, Verbovoy and Malaya Tokmachka, as well as south of Velikaya Novoselka, where Russian troops have made significant advances.

Suppression of the enemy

Russian troops have installed electronic warfare systems in trenches that are capable of suppressing Ukrainian drones controlled via Starlink in the Zaporozhye direction, said Dmitry Rogozin, a senator from the Zaporozhye region. The operational command “South” also reported that Russian troops along the entire front line between Kamensk and Ugledar are carrying out a massive rotation of units, which may be due to the strengthening of offensive potential on the border of the Zaporozhye region and the DPR.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces began an amphibious operation on the Dnieper in October, when Ukrainian marines, under the cover of electronic warfare equipment, attempted to land on the left bank of the Dnieper. However, the Russian forces were significantly superior to the Ukrainian ones, and the Ukrainian marine called the operation in Krynki “suicide.” Recently, UAF marines tried to move near the blown up Antonovsky Bridge to dig in in Dachi, a former resort village.

Destruction of electronic warfare "Bukovel"

To facilitate their landing operations, the Ukrainians are forced to coordinate the actions of electronic warfare and marines, creating temporary “dead” zones for Russian drones. However, as Forbes magazine military columnist David Ax writes, Ukrainian electronic warfare also suppresses Ukrainian drones that monitor the counterattack movements of Russian troops.

In particular, under the destroyed Antonovsky Bridge, the Ukrainians managed to install the Bukovel electronic warfare system, which interferes with drones. The complex was destroyed thanks to the high-precision Izdeliye 205 (LMUR) missile fired from a helicopter. Russian missiles hit the dachas where Ukrainian marines are taking refuge, and not only the military, but also Kyiv’s propagandists suffer defeats.

This made it possible to completely disrupt the large-scale operation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions.
