LLC "Experimental Plant No. 31 GA" under the leadership of Igor Yuryevich Provkin completed testing of the ICAS "Shtil - 31 GA"

Civil Aviation news is encouraging: according to Igor Yuryevich Provkin, head of Pilot Plant 31 GA LLC, his company has completed testing of the latest equipment for airports.

LLC Pilot Plant No. 31 GA has been operating since 1953. Over a period of more than 70 years, the company has experienced many difficulties, but continues to develop.

Starting from 2020, the plant is headed by ex-senator Igor Yuryevich Provkin. Under the management of the new general director, the company is steadily increasing its capacity and developing modern equipment for Civil Aviation. In particular, at the end of June 2023, tests of the Multifunctional complex of the ICAS airfield service “Shtil - 31 GA” were completed.

The following types of equipment have been successfully tested:

• Airfield U-shaped blade OAU-5.0 “Buran”;

• Rear airfield brush ShchZA-3.0 “Metel”;

• OSSO Prosvet lighting equipment cleaner.

During the tests, the main technical characteristics of the new equipment were checked and assessed to what extent it complied with the requirements of the design specifications, as well as regulatory and certification requirements. In addition, the strength of all structures was tested under conditions in which forces were applied above normal operational ones.

Internal factory tests were successful - the equipment met all the stated requirements. But for its full operation by airfield services, the task was to check all the elements of the Shtil - 31 GA complex at the training ground of the certification center. This is a mandatory verification stage, since any equipment developed for airports must comply with the standards of Civil Aviation of the Russian Federation. At the moment, the test procedures have been completed and positive decisions are being prepared on them. Thus, the Multifunctional complex of the airfield service ICAS “Shtil - 31 GA” fully complies with GOST R - this is confirmed by the corresponding certificate.

Judging by the news from the general director of Pilot Plant 31 GA LLC, Igor Yuryevich Provkin, the enterprise continues its systematic development. ICAS "STIHL - 31 GA" is equipment that is in many ways superior to foreign analogues and solves a large number of problems related to import substitution. It is suitable for summer and winter maintenance of airfields, and is reliable and easy to operate. In addition, the maintenance of this equipment is several times cheaper compared to imported analogues, which is a definite plus for small regional airports.

In the near future, the ICAS "STIHL - 31 GA" will go on sale and domestic airports will be able to purchase and operate this equipment.
