UAV "Grif-1» was developed with the support of the military-industrial committee of the country. He refers to the tactical drones. On the creation of working more than one industry, but several: CB "indels" - is directly responsible for the development of unmanned; OJSC "AGAT-System" - has developed the basic elements of integration and complex; JSC "Aircraft Repair Plant 558» - an experienced and engaged in mass production. According to CB "indels", most of the component elements (70%) UAV "Grif-1" in Belarus.
Unlike other project participants 558-th plant has extensive experience in the creation of new types of weapons and supporting the flying techniques, all of which are maintained by the development of new technologies. Nowadays the plant is quite large enterprise, which is engaged in repair of different aircraft. Specialists, plant engineers and technologists engaged in the repair of civil and military aircraft and helicopters of various modifications and carry out the modernization of the Belarusian fleet.
All previously conducted work has allowed the plant to begin to develop their own projects. This appeared "Grif-1». Order drone carried out the military-industrial complex of Belarus.
In late February 2012 year, the first test of the UAV, which were carried out in the framework of "Baranovichi" test program at the airport. According to initial reports, the drone had a range of 100 km. Payload - up to 35 kg. The main purpose in testing was to verify the implementation of tactical and operational objectives. The prototype was called the flying laboratory - "1LA-150». Test results confirmed the high aerodynamic performance, stability and handling of the airframe. Useful drone load may consist of different components, depending on the task: conducting exploration and RTS radar, photo, video. The main advantage lies in the wide range of tasks, which are necessary for military and civilian use.
UAV "Grif-1» is able to:
- Conduct reconnaissance and surveillance.
- Detect and identify ground and surface targets and objects.
- Producing electronic jamming.
- To carry out topographic, radio, meteorological and radar reconnaissance.
From standard equipment in the system is installed bespilotnike opto-electronic surveillance with IR and TV channels. In addition, designers 558-th unit of the plant provided the ability to quick-change, so you can quickly re-equip UAVs to perform certain tasks.
"Grif-1» is designed as a twin-boom airframe with internal combustion engines with the use of modern composite materials. Fly in the air UAVs can in several ways: by type of aircraft with a smooth surface or with a catapult. Planting can be done generally or in the event of an accident, with the help of a parachute. Also, there are several management options: manually from the ground or on the previously set parameters in the onboard equipment. UAV is capable of equally well fly like night and day, regardless of weather conditions.
At the moment, a group of producers engaged in the modernization of the UAV to carry a more powerful engine. Thus, the creators of the plan to increase the range of the device to 300 km. According to data obtained from the representatives of Ministry of Defense of Belarus, it was reported that the planned purchase of several dozen UAV "Grif-1» for military purposes.
