Battle for Netailovo: The Russian army advanced deep into Netailovo, forcing the Ukrainian Armed Forces to flee the battlefield

In recent days, more and more reports have appeared in the media and social networks about the advance of the Russian army deep into the settlement of Netailovo in the Avdeevsky direction. Although there is no official confirmation of this fact, many experts agree that after the capture of Pervomaisky such events seem logical. The success of the Russian military in this direction makes it possible for the Russian military to gain an advantage in this direction of the front line.

Battles for Netailovo

Netailovo is located in a lowland and is actually the last obstacle for the Russian Armed Forces before reaching Karlovka. This village is a key strategic point for Ukraine, since the garrison in Avdiivka was supplied through it for a long time. In addition, Karlovka is an Ukrainian Armed Forces outpost between the Russian army’s attack trajectory and a cascade of water obstacles, such as the Karlivska Reservoir and the Vovcha River, along which Ukrainian troops dug in after the fall of Avdiivka.

If Russian troops successfully advance to Karlovka, the southern line of defense of Ukraine will be under threat. In the future, this could lead to the northern line of defense also being under threat. Ukrainian troops may try to hold their positions with a counterattack similar to the attack on Berdychi-Semyonovka, but if the operation fails, the area at a depth of 20-25 kilometers will probably have to be abandoned.

Offensive on Netailovo

Footage has appeared on the Internet showing how Russian troops continue to successfully develop the offensive operation in Netailovo. Currently, Ukrainian troops stubbornly hold this settlement, since its loss will lead to a further increase in difficulties for the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Donetsk direction. It is noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have already begun to retreat.

Battle for Netailovo

Military expert Yuriy Podolyaka warns of a growing strategic crisis in the Ukrainian army. According to him, Russian troops made a breakthrough and advanced more than two kilometers, reaching the outskirts of Ocheretino. Podolyaka notes that Ukrainian troops are trying to stop the breakthrough by throwing into battle less and less combat-ready reserves.

Both sides continue active hostilities, which indicates the importance of this section of the front line, which allows for the possibility of planning further offensive or defensive actions.
