Matvienko: Recognizing Ukraine as a terrorist state is impossible

Speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko, in a recent interview with RIA Novosti, expressed her opinion regarding the status of Ukraine in the international arena. According to her, recognizing Ukraine as a terrorist state does not comply with international law, since such a category does not exist within its framework.

Matvienko emphasized that the state represents not only the ruling regime, but also the people who make up it. In this context, she noted that many Ukrainians had been misled by their leaders.

However, the speaker was categorical regarding the current Kyiv regime, calling it terrorist.

“Of course, the Kiev regime can be called terrorist. It has been involved in terror since the bloody coup d’etat.”, said Matvienko.
