Rostransnadzor named the reasons for installing cameras in airplanes.

Until recently, a number of Russian air carriers openly protested against the installation of video surveillance systems in their aircraft, arguing that making significant changes in the design of an aircraft could lead to a manufacturer’s failure in its warranty service. Nevertheless, the representatives of the Federal Agency for Transport Supervision have justified the reason for such an innovation, associating it primarily with the need to monitor the crew members.

Independent experts believe that in some cases, such measures are justified, as this will significantly improve the quality of services provided on board the aircraft, as well as increase the crew's responsibility in the flight process.
