In France, the air service between Paris and Marseilles was interrupted.

As reported by the French media, the French aviation authorities have decided to temporarily suspend the air service between Paris and Marseilles due to strong forest fires in the department of the Bush du Rhône. This measure is temporary, however, it has already become a problem for several thousand passengers intending to quickly get from Paris to Marseilles and back.

The threat to air traffic itself comes more likely not from the fires themselves, but more likely from the smoke, which seriously impedes visibility, however, it is assumed that flights between the two largest cities in France will resume again next Monday, which, however, will depend on the further development of the situation.
