YQM-94A CompassCope

UAV YQM-94A Compass Cope is an intelligence apparatus that was created by the American company Boeing. This high-altitude long-range and unmanned aerial vehicle that is meant for electronic and photo-reconnaissance in enemy territory and military conflicts.

The very first prototype within the program was manufactured back in 1972. First of all, the YQM-94A was supposed to compete with the Teledyne-Ryan YQM-96A during the tests of the US Air Force. For the first time, the apparatus of this model took off in the summer of 1973. It should be noted that the first flight lasted for 17 and a half hours, while the device was at an altitude of 16,7 kilometers. Nevertheless, the program and further development were closed because the Air Force abandoned the use of the YQM-94A machine.
