Designers do research and further development of the aircraft gliding impact of long-range, which received the original designation of "DP". As for the Tu-130 (DP) itself, it did not have its own power plant, the system was powered by the air power system and chemical sources that produced current.

Also on board there was a cooling system that did not allow overheating thermonuclear charge, were taken into account housing problems that might arise as a result of the kinetic heating during the flight.
