The Su-28. A photo. History. Characteristics.
Su-28 represented a training version of the aircraft, created on the basis of the Su-25. The original name of the project T-8-UT, it was created with the aim of replacing the Czechoslovak of training L-39 Albatros. The prototype of the Su-25 saw the world in the middle of 1987 years. To facilitate the design of the glider managed by eliminating most of the systems of combat use. Nose of the aircraft took sighting system, which was mounted ballast. The aircraft was no body armor pilots. This model got the T-8UTM (Su-28M). After the collapse of the Soviet Union came a deep crisis, and the project had to be frozen, and later completely closed. Nevertheless, the work related to the creation of the Su-28M, useful during the design of a full-fledged combat training modifications deck assault Su-25UTG.
It was decided to upgrade combat training variant T8-UX to the training T8 UT-based Design Bureau. Sukhoi. The idea belonged to Marshal AN Efimov, who was trying to displace the course with training centers pilot training Czechoslovakian L-39.
On the basis of the task, the first flight model T8-UB1 was sent for revision. To improve the performance characteristics of the machine it was planned by facilitating its takeoff weight. Description and application of Su-28
The plane is a simplified modification of the Su-25Ub, which reduce the size of weapons and equipment.
The crew of the aircraft is designed for two people. The purpose was to train novice pilots flying techniques, piloting, working out aerobatics.
Education on the Su-28 could make the cadet, who had mastered the piston aircraft, trained pilots.
The training on this aircraft performs the following flight training:
original form of education;
testing of equipment and maneuvers in piloting different times of day, simple and severe weather conditions;
Learning techniques of the car in the "blind flight";
Training in emergency operation mode: failure of engines, navigation equipment and other aircraft systems.
To the possibility of training aircraft Su-28 include:
maximum continuity with the combat and combat training version of the Su-25 regarding the cabin, flight technical and performance characteristics;
the ability to take-off, landing and flight with one engine running;
the ability to operate the machine with diesel fuel;
the location of the aircraft on unpaved airfields;
Chassis, allowing to make a rough landing;
high reliability and fail-safe, minimal maintenance costs.
The design provides for installation on a plane four external fuel tanks, the capacity of each of which is 800 liters, and dropping them in the mode of an emergency landing.
From its predecessor, the Su-25UB aircraft by the absence of the following components and systems:
pylon beam and holders;
the impact of equipment;
filmed electrical systems;
systems responsible for managing weapons;
additional wiring in the management of the elevator;
polyurethane foam in fuel tanks.
Also somewhat simplified the fuel system of the aircraft, dismantled part of its units.
