PAIC Imperio SP1 - Multi-Purpose UAV Portuguese development, designed by the company «Portuguese Aerospace Industry Consortium».
Design UAV PAIC Imperio SP1 was of an exclusively scientific and experimental nature, in particular in aerospace technology experts considered the possibility of creating an unmanned means the ability to find applications in civil and military to perform tasks related to the exploration area, patrol, observation and search operations and monitoring the fire situation, as a means of organization of civil security, and others.
The development of unmanned aerial vehicle PAIC Imperio SP1 began in 2009 year, and, experts managed to fully implement the project within just 5 years, however, for several reasons, to this day the drone into production and have not received - despite its prospects, enough the high cost of air assets remains very unpopular, while the functionality of the UAV low.
UAV PAIC Imperio SP1 equipped with electro-optical, infrared and television cameras, that allows to obtain sufficiently precise information on almost any object of research.
Powerplant unmanned device represented by a single piston engine with a capacity of 22 hp, which allows the drone to reach a maximum speed of its flight in 150 km \ h., While the operating range of the UAV is 120 kilometers.
