For the US Air Force, approximately 250 aircraft were built, and export orders for this training aircraft from several countries were received, including France, which bought 230 aircraft (under the designation NA-57).

When France fell under the blows of Germany, about 119 undelivered aircraft were purchased by Canadians and handed over to Britain under the designation "Yal» (Yale) I. Several aircraft Tu-9 / -14 and "Yal» I still fly in North America, their nonretractable Chassis is a clear hallmark.
