BLUGA is a flight college (school) located in the Orenburg region in the city of Buguruslan. Since 2008, it has become a branch of the State St. Petersburg University of Civil Aviation.

School prepares pilots of aircraft. Educational and training flights are made on the landing grounds, Buguruslan Buguruslan and North-Chief.

 In the 1974, the Ministry of Civil Aviation of the Soviet Union decided to train pilots at the Yak-40 aircraft in the flight school of Buguruslan.

The design of the new Buguruslan-Severny airfield began in 1975 with an artificial runway measuring 2200 × 45 m (maximum take-off weight of an aircraft of one hundred tons), which was built in the early 1980s, eight kilometers northwest of the town of Buguruslan near the village of Karpovka.

In 1976, the school received seventeen Yak-40 aircraft. In 1976, two unpaved airfields were equipped with landing facilities (OSP) for takeoffs of Yak-40 aircraft - "Buguruslan-Glavniy" (runway length 1560 meters) and "Asekeevo" (runway length 2020 meters).

In 1977 73 year released the first pilot for the Yak-40 aircraft. Initial training of Air Line Pilots for airplanes with turbine engines made for the first time in the world of civil aviation.

In 1970-1980, 550-650 graduates-pilots graduated from the school annually. The maximum number of graduates-pilots from the school was registered in 1972 - 864 people, in 1978 - 636, in 1984 - 410, in 1991 - 307, in 1997 - 100, in 2000 - 60. In 2001, Yak-40 aircraft were decommissioned, and the Buguruslan-Severny airfield was mothballed. Until the 1990s, the An-2 aircraft fleet at the school was over seventy units.

The school year in 2009 120 cadets received was also resumed the use of the airfield "Buguruslan-North", where educational flights on airplanes M-101T and the Cessna 172 produced.

The school year in 2012 80 people came, started training at DA-40.

School December 2013 years has the following fleet of aircraft:

  • Twenty-DA-40NG;
  • seven Cessna-172SP, used in conjunction with SPbGU GA;
  • ten AN-2;
  • Three canned Yak-40;
  • Three M-101T (also canned)
  • expected to appear DA-42 aircraft (which will soon be the main outlet view plane).
