King Air C 90 GTi

Beech Model 90 King Air is a light multi-purpose aircraft developed by the American firm Beech Aircraft. At 1963, Beech began flight testing of the aircraft, which later received the designation BeechQueenAir Model6580. It was considered as a continuation of the type of QueenAir aircraft and was developed for the US Army as a general transport or headquarters aircraft. Its designation led to a certain confusion, since still produced aircraft 80 and 65 QueenAir. Therefore, the aircraft was temporarily designated Model 6590T (the letter T stands for "turboprop engine"). Then another step was taken to clarify this situation, and all the QueenAir series with a turboprop engine were renamed KingAir.

As a result, the plane 6590T became the prototype for a series of Beech Model 90 King Air, or rather - the prototype of leaking military aircraft King Air. After the first flight model designed 6590T civilian version, which has a pressurized cabin. His production under the designation of sample Model90 King Air took off for the first time 20.01.1964.

These aircraft marked the beginning of the three-thousand-series King Air. The tests of the 6590T model, conducted by the US Army (where it had the designation NU8F), demonstrated full compliance with all necessary requirements. As a result, the first order for 48 aircraft under the designation U21A was followed. The plane could accommodate a crew of two people and 10 military personnel, or 6-8 man command staff, or 3 stretcher. The chairs were easily removed and a place appeared for the location of the cargo mass up to 1361kg. The first deliveries of U21A Ute serial aircraft started 16.05.1967. As a result, contracts were followed and more than 160 machines were built. These include the U21A models, RU21A / RU21D models with turbo-screw motors Pratt & WhitneyCanadaPT6A20 shaft power 550l.s. And models RU21B / RU21C / RU21E with motors PT6A29, shaft power 620 hp

RU21 plane was specially designed for use in Southeast Asia, as an electronic intelligence. He had a set of antennas and sensors on the fuselage, and inside - appropriate systems and avionics and navigation systems that provide all-weather operation. RU21B and RU21C had from the company designation Beech Model65A902 and Model65A903 respectively, and assigned the designation U21G 17 aircraft, which were intended for the US Air Force, and were similar to the planes U21A.

Deliveries civilian version 90KingAir, which had a pressurized cabin, and up to ten seats, including pilot, started at the end of 1964. In the early 1966 the aircraft supplanted model KingAirA90, on which was mounted a more powerful motors RT6A20. One of these aircraft was used by the military code VC6A.

By following the model of the plane was A90 King Air B 90, which had a slight improvement in September 1970 aircraft King Air C 90, which established a better system of cab heating and air conditioning. The plane was S90 in serial production for 1982, 1000 was made about these machines. One of them, under the coded VC6B, was also in service with the US Air Force. From its inception the airplane S90 constantly improving, it was mounted motors RT6A21.
