Ka-92 is a conceptual development of the domestic designers. This machine is the brainchild of Kamov design bureau. Ka-92 projected as a new generation of high-speed helicopter. This unit has a great interest among customers in the Russian Federation and abroad. Chief designer of the model helicopter is the Ka-92 70-year-old Sergei Mikheev. In designing the model helicopter Ka-92 Russian Federation has allocated almost 7,5 billion rubles. The main objective of designers is to produce competitive apparatus, which would be economical and reliable. These characteristics allow to sell the Ka-92 in all countries of the world.
The plans of the designers to create a qualitatively new machine that could travel at high speeds and at the same time to carry large numbers of passengers, namely to 30 people. Yet another feature of the designed Ka-92 should be sufficiently large distance flights. Designers are developing just three machines, which differ from each other. Design multiple devices allow designers to select the most reliable and cost version, which will correspond to the maximum specified parameters.
To produce such a device designers have resorted to the use of coaxial propellers and involved the latest developments in the field of aerodynamics. Modern materials and technology allow for flight at a speed of 500 km / h, while all he can pass the path to 1,4 thousand kilometers. This helicopter in Russia plans to use for operations in remote places of the state.
The total weight of the machine during takeoff is 16 tons. To lift this weight need a new, more powerful and reliable power plant. The first models of the Ka-92 will be equipped with two engines, model VC-2500, which has developed a designer Klimov. Serial machines is planned to equip the engines power the VC-3000. The latest model has the best engine characteristics and high power.
Regarding the screws, that there has not been without a new design ideas. The main rotor, as always in the Kamov models is coaxial type, but innovation is a pusher propeller, which is also made by coaxial scheme. Ball screw is equipped with a new fairing plugs, which are designed with the use of electronic payments, which will increase the quality of the screw. The rear is equipped with a stabilizer screw arrow shaped keels and two at the end. Due to such screw machine and be able to get high speed flight 450-500 km / h. The release of a series of this machine will create competition even aircraft on medium-haul flights.
Obtaining certificates and permits for the mass production of helicopters of this type it is expected to 2020 year. Flight tests of the Ka-92 plan to start in the 2018 year and conduct two stages.
The first phase will be devoted to designing and manufacturing advanced vehicles, which by their capacities and characteristics will dominate modern helicopters only 25%. After passing the tests of these machines is planned their refinement and improvement.
Then followed the second stage, which will be made a full-scale version of the Ka-92. It will have set specifications that will take this unit to a new level of quality helicopter. More detailed characteristics of the systems of the helicopter at the moment were not disclosed. Ka-92 has already been presented at international exhibitions helicopter, but it is only a model of the future car.
Also Kamov design bureau, the creation of a new helicopter with similar characteristics is also engaged in the design office Mil. His project is called Mi-H1, in appearance it is very similar to the Ka-92.
