The Eurocopter EC 155 B Dauphin is a multipurpose helicopter developed by the Franco-German concern Eurocopter. The helicopter is a further development of the AS365Dauphin helicopters. Initial designation AS365N4. Similar in appearance to its predecessors, it has a much larger fuselage, which made it possible to increase the volume of the cargo compartment by almost 40 percent and is equipped with a modern spheriflex main rotor and a fenestron tail rotor with reduced noise level. The dimensions of the cargo compartment are 2.55mx2.10mx 1.54m, and the total volume is 6.8 cubic meters. The helicopter can accommodate up to 12 people in the passenger version and 5-9 people in the VIP version.

The development of the helicopter began in September 1996. The first flight took place on June 17.06.1997, 1997. The helicopter was first shown at the Paris Aviation Exhibition in June 6. At the same exhibition, the first contract was signed with the Norwegian company Helicopter Services of Norway for the supply of 3 helicopters. 16.03.1999 serial helicopters were first produced on 21.01.2000.
