Embraer EMB120 Brasilia is a regional turboprop passenger aircraft. It can carry up to thirty passengers. Produced by Embraer in Brazil. First took off on 27.07.1983/XNUMX/XNUMX.

The fuselage has an inner diameter of 2,28 meters, and the seats in the row are arranged in a 2 + 1 pattern. The aircraft is equipped with two PrattWhitney PW100 turboprop engines and had the initial designation PW115, which during the launch in the series (and further variations) changed to PW118 (there are also variations of PW118B and PW118A with increased power). These motors open the range of PW100 motors (PW120, PW118, PW124, PW121, PW127), however, unlike previous models, this motor is not equipped with a propeller brake, therefore it cannot work on the ground in APU mode. The aircraft is equipped with an APU, especially the Garrett GTCP36150AA. During production from 1983 to 2001, more than 350 Embraer aircraft were produced in 120 different versions.

Planes of this type in Russia is actively used for passenger transportation by Russian aviation companies in the region, Air and Atlant-Soyuz. Now in Russia we used only aviation company RusLine on regional routes.

Passenger short-haul aircraft Embraer EMB120 Brasilia (Embraer120 Brasilia) was designed by the Brazilian company Embraer for flights on local airlines with low passenger traffic. The design of the aircraft began in 1979, in 1985 the aircraft was certified in the USA and Brazil, and in Europe in 1985.

In 1991, an improved version of EMB120ER with powerful engines, increased takeoff weight and longer flight range made its first flight.
