The Greek military unmanned aerial vehicle intended for use as a target, in this case, due to the fact that this device was quite fast developed, and it was low enough cost, unmanned aerial vehicle quickly gained popularity, and, UAV operation is carried out to this day.
Unmanned aerial vehicle EADS Iris Jet model can be used both during the exercise, and as a means to test new air defense system that recently is a fairly urgent task, in this case, apart from Greece, UAVs of this model are widely used also such countries as France, Germany, Sweden and others.
Greek drone EADS Iris Jet has a pretty overall design, in particular, the length of the air means is 4 meters 5 cm and a wingspan equal to 2 meters 90 centimeters, which although causing some difficulties in transporting the drone, however, has no negative impact on the operational and aircraft performance capabilities of UAV.
Drone EADS Iris Jet is equipped with standard telemetry means to track the movement of aircraft and stabilize its flight, and the device can be equipped with additional equipment and allowing to provide more opportunities for the use of UAVs.
The power unit of the air are represented by a jet engine, which allows the aircraft to reach speeds of up to 850 km \ h. However, the maximum duration of the flight is limited 1 hour.
