Chronology of events:

Attempts by the boardwriter, navigator, flight mechanic, and passenger Sapozhnikov to extinguish the flames with a fire extinguisher and outer clothing did not yield results. Passengers at the command of the navigator and flight mechanic in the cargo compartment got out, except for the radio operator and Sapozhnikov, who poisoned with caustic smoke, lost consciousness, subsequently burnt, fell. Navigator, returning to the pilot's cabin, released the chassis and, as the cabin filled with smoke, opened the emergency hatch, which improved for a while the review. Discovering from the height of 400-500 m land, the commander gave the command to clean the chassis. According to the navigator's statement, after this command he turned off the ignition, removed the chassis. The cockpit again filled with smoke. The burning plane landed on the fuselage on the field of winter crops.
