The aircraft, which had the crew of the Moscow Air Lines on board, performed flights under a leasing agreement with the local airline AfricanAir (Republic of Zaire). 08.01.1996, during the day in bad weather conditions, a cargo flight was carried out for the transportation of consumer goods and food products from Ndolo (Kinshasa) airport. In addition to the crew on board was a citizen of Ukraine and a citizen of Zaire, the accompanying cargo. The strip was asphalt-covered, dry, with a width of 30 m, length 1700. The takeoff was performed in 11: 40 local time with flaps that were released at 25 degrees. At a speed of 130 km / h, at 28 second from the start of take-off, the elevator slid to 20 degrees and remained in this position until the end of the flight. The pitch angle at 32 second from the start of the take-off was more at 3,5 degrees, but the takeoff continued in a three-point position, unloading several front wheels. The speed at 39 second reached 194 km / h (the speed of lifting the nose wheel with the take-off weight of the aircraft 26 t). The speed at 42 second reached the detachment speed of 204 km / h, but the nose wheel did not detach, the plane continued to move in the three-point position. The crew at 47 second tried to stop the take-off by cleaning the engine control lever, and after 3 seconds - by removing the propellers from the stop. The crew's actions with regard to stopping the take-off of rolling out the airplane beyond the borders of the aerodrome and the strip did not prevent. There are no traces of inhibition on the strip. At the aerodrome there is no fence from the exit end of the strip. Directly behind the strip, perpendicular to its axis, is a drainage ditch, then a highway, and then the city market begins. When rolling out the plane collided with the breastwork of a concrete drainage ditch, went to the market territory, which was located in the alignment of the strip, moved about 240 m along the trading rows and caught fire because of a collision with the construction of the market. The aircraft mechanic was killed, the remaining persons who were on board were injured.
