Argus S. Specifications. A photo.
Argus S - Romanian multipurpose unmanned aerial vehicle developed in 2005 year.
Design of multi-purpose UAV model Argus S began Romanian aircraft manufacturers and experts in the field of aerospace technology in the first half 2000-ies. At its core, an unmanned aerial vehicle Argus S can be considered as the development of dual-use, in particular, we are talking about the possibility of its use in both the military and civilian areas, however, the most effective and popular this device was precisely in the civil sector.
UAV Argus S can perform a wide range of different tasks, which includes the exploration of the area, conducting aerofotograficheskih work and aerial photography, search operations, the implementation of geological and geodetic survey areas, the implementation of patrol and surveillance activities and others. If you are using drones in the military sphere, the majority of tasks is limited to carrying out exploration areas nearby - this is due primarily to the fact that the effective radius of action of the drone is only 20 kilometers.
Romanian drone Argus S has a relatively low weight in comparison with the size of the drone, in particular, with a maximum take-off weight of the UAV in 10 kg, length of the device is 1,8 meters, with a wingspan in 2,2 meters. UAV design does not have good aerodynamic shape, however, through the use of a sufficiently powerful propulsion system, consisting of a piston engine with a capacity of 4,1 hp, the drone can accelerate to a maximum speed of flight in 180 km \ h.
To perform the tasks related to the supervision of the terrain and the objects located on it, on the unmanned air vehicle has a digital camera of high resolution.
