Designing aircraft Aero Designs Pulsar American aircraft company started in the first half 80-ies, in doing so, the engineers were able to create not only ultralight aircraft, but also quite fast and very promising aircraft, which continues to be used in large quantities to the present day.

Initially, experts say that nearly double the aircraft has no future, but despite this, interest in the aircraft expressed dozens of customers that was the main reason for the mass production and sufficiently long these aircraft.

The basic production version of the Aero Designs Pulsar aircraft was equipped with a low-power Rotax 532 engine, capable of developing a tractive effort of 64 hp, which in turn allowed the aircraft to accelerate to 210 km / h (maximum flight speed). In addition, the plane was also suitable for carrying out fairly long flights - the maximum travel distance is about 1450 km, which allowed the owners to move between major cities.

The design of the airplane Aero Designs Pulsar has a fairly compact size, which in turn reduces the drag of the aircraft, increases agility and improves handling aircraft and actually minimizes fuel consumption, making the operation of the aircraft rather cheap.

In 1992 year, based on the base version was created modification, dubbed Aero Designs Pulsar XP, features a new power plant, which was used as a piston engine Rotax 912UL 80 hp capacity, and increased the maximum take-off weight. Through the use of more advanced aircraft engine, greatly increased the speed of flight of the aircraft close to the mark in 252 km \ h.

The modification of the Aero Designs Pulsar Series II was equipped with a more powerful aircraft engine - depending on the customer's requirements, either a Rotax 912ULS piston engine with a capacity of 100 hp could be used, or a Rotax 914, which is a turbocharged power plant with a capacity of 115 hp. Thanks to such changes, the flight speed of the aircraft could reach 306 km / h.

The Aero Designs Pulsar III version differed from the previous modifications in the type of chassis, and in addition, depending on the type of aircraft, engines such as Rotax 912UL (80 hp) or Jabiru 2200 (85 hp) could be installed here.

In 2001, American aircraft engineers presented the Aero Designs Pulsar SP100, which is actually an improved version of the previous modification. Both Rotax 912UL (80 hp) and Jabiru 3300 (120 hp) could be used as a power plant on the aircraft of this version.
