30 seconds over Tokyo (1944).

  • Country: USA.
  • Directed by Mervyn Leroy.
  • Starring: Van Johnson, Robert Walker, Spencer Tracy

The plot of the war film tells the story of the first response of the United States to the military aggression of Japan in the Second World War.

The history of the film immerses the viewer into hostilities, as well as preparations for their beginning. The bomber pilot was to fly over the Japanese capital and bombard Tokyo. Nevertheless, the task is very difficult, and therefore it is necessary to have a masterful preparation, because one inaccurate action can entail a whole series of consequences that may not be the most favorable for the bomber pilot and for America itself. These thirty seconds of flying over Tokyo literally change the whole worldview of the pilot, but this is his duty, and he is obliged to fulfill it.
